As part of the six calls for the programme “Sparkling Science” 254 research projects were awarded the maximum amount of € 170,000.- each. Between 2007 and 2019 close to € 35 million in funding was made available.

The funded projects covered the full spectrum of research topics: from glaciology, nanomaterials, robotics, animal nutrition to medieval literature and ambient assisted living.
